Terms of service.

"Service" means the Hassab application, website, and related services. "Customer" means the company that subscribes to the Service. "Authorised User" means an employee, contractor, or representative of the Customer permitted to use the Service. "Subscription" means the paid right to use the Service for a defined period. "Customer Data" means data the Customer or its Authorised Users upload to or generate within the Service.

Hassab provides cloud-based accounting, bill capture, bank reconciliation, collections, and reporting tools tailored to Oman VAT, offered through the plans described on our pricing page, including an Accountant plan for accounting firms that manage multiple client companies. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to make the Service available 24/7, with planned maintenance windows announced in advance. We may change features, add new ones, or retire ones that very few customers use, and will give reasonable notice for any change that materially reduces functionality.

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for any activity under your account. You will not (a) reverse-engineer the Service, (b) use it to send unsolicited commercial messages, (c) upload malicious code, (d) attempt to bypass tenant isolation or rate limits, (e) use it for unlawful purposes, or (f) resell access without our written consent.

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial with access to all features. No payment details are required and no fees apply during the trial. At the end of the trial you can choose a paid plan; if you do not, paid features stop and your data remains available for export for 30 days. There is no automatic charge when the trial ends.

Hassab is offered on the Starter, Growth, Finance, and Accountant plans, as described on our pricing page. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing page in your account. A change of plan takes effect immediately, and the limits of the new plan apply straight away. Plan changes and cancellations are not prorated, and the fee for the current billing period is not refunded, except as set out in our Refund policy. After cancellation, no further charges are made.

Subscription fees are stated in OMR and billed monthly or yearly, depending on the billing period you choose. Fees are charged in advance to your card through our payment provider, Tap Payments, at the start of each billing period. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing period until cancelled. If a payment fails we may retry it, and the Service may be suspended after 14 days' notice. Prices are exclusive of VAT; see our VAT policy. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to your next billing period.

Each plan includes limits on companies, users, clients, and vendors, and monthly limits on invoices, bills, AI assistant questions, and OCR pages. Current limits are shown on our pricing page and on the billing page in your account. Monthly limits reset at the start of each calendar month. When you reach a limit, creating more of that item is blocked until you upgrade, buy a top-up, or the limit resets; your existing data stays available to view and export. Top-ups add extra capacity for the current month only and do not carry over.

The Service and all materials provided by us (software, documentation, training, and templates) are owned by RAMZ or its licensors and are licensed, not sold. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service during the subscription term. You retain all rights in your Customer Data.

You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Customer Data for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We process Customer Data in accordance with our privacy policy and any data-processing agreement we have signed with you. We will not access Customer Data except as needed to provide support, investigate suspected abuse, comply with law, or improve the Service in aggregated, de-identified form.

Hassab uses AI to extract data from documents, categorise and match bank transactions, answer questions, and draft messages. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing it before you approve, post, or send anything, and you remain responsible for your books, VAT returns, and filings. Hassab does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Each party will protect the other's confidential information with the same care it uses for its own, and at least with reasonable care, and will use it only to perform under these terms. Confidential information does not include information that is public, received from a third party without restriction, or independently developed.

The Service uses third-party sub-processors and may integrate with third-party services. We are responsible for our sub-processors' compliance with our DPA. Payments are processed by Tap Payments under its own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services that you choose to integrate.

We warrant that the Service will substantially conform to its documentation. Except for that warranty, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by Omani law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Each party's total aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the fees paid or payable by the Customer in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or amounts that cannot be limited under Omani law.

Each party will defend the other against third-party claims arising from its breach of these terms or its violation of law, and will pay any final award or agreed settlement, subject to prompt notice and reasonable cooperation.

We may suspend the Service for material breach (including non-payment), security incidents, or to comply with law, with reasonable notice where practicable. Either party may terminate for material breach not cured within 30 days. On termination you may export Customer Data for 30 days; after that we will destroy it under our retention policy except records we are legally required to keep.

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, civil unrest, internet outages affecting major regions, government action). The affected party will give prompt notice and resume performance as soon as practicable.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. The competent courts of Muscat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual property or confidential information.

We may revise these terms with at least 30 days' notice (in-app and by email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept revised terms, you may terminate the subscription before the effective date and receive a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid fees.
